With just 45 minutes drive from LA, El Matador Beach is the perfect place for picnic by the beach or sunset watching. I used to shoot a lot of engagements at the beach before when I lived in Bali. Ever since I moved here in LA, I dread the beach so much because the water is so cold in here. I never been to El Matador beach before, neither have I shot there. Bryan had been there a couple of times and loved the beach out there. We think El Matador would be the perfect location to shoot Miranda and Garrett. El Matador beach has amazing cliff’s view and huge rock formation, which makes the beach a haven for photography, especially during golden hour.
When we arrived, the beach was pretty crowded as we went on the weekend. Luckily, we still managed to get a parking spot. We started from the parking lot, going down from the cliff to the beach, getting some splash on the beach and found a beautiful wooden staircase. Although it looks sunny and warm in the photos, the day of the shoot was really windy and cold. Props to Miranda and Garrett for keeping up with us 2 hours. They even climbed a huge rock so that we can get a drone photo. This couple adventure spirit definitely unlike any other. We absolutely loved their chemistry and how comfortable they are with each other.
I hope you love the photos as much as we do.
